This year in kindergarten, we learned about all different shapes. We also learned about calendars, numbers, colors, and sorting. Our question for the National Math Trail is. . .
How many different shapes are found on our playground? What shape is the most?
First, we went to the playground and counted the different shapes. There were too many tiny circles to count, so we just counted large circles. We had to count the shapes on all of the playground toys.
Then we went to the class and counted blocks to stand for the shapes. We added them all together and put into groups of ten.
We had the most RECTANGLES!
