The National Math Trail

The International Space Station

You don't have to visit the International Space Station to create a math trail for it. The links below will take your students to locations on the World Wide Web where they can see photographs and learn more about how the Space Station works. They can make up math problems related to what they find and download pictures from these websites to create National Math Trail submissions.

Creating math trails through the Space Station will not only sharpen your students' math skills, but will teach them more about one of mankind's most exciting endeavors: people from nations around the globe, living and working together in space for the benefit of everyone on Earth.

Be one of the first ten to submit an International Space Station math trail, and get a free copy of the PBS Special, "Living and Working in Space: The Countdown Has Begun".
