Sandusky, Ohio was founded in 1811.  John Gaffison, the first settler in Sandusky built a log cabin west of where Citizens Bank is today.  Sandusky now has a large export of coal; it is mainly taken to Cleveland and some up to Canada.  Sandusky is also a large tourist attraction.  With Cedar Point right on Lake Erie who could resist for coming up and riding the rides.  Cedar Point has been voted best amusement park in the country three years running and continues to flock the tourists to the city.  Sandusky is named after the Sandusky Indian tribe which roamed these lands hundreds of years ago.  You can still find arrowheads around the city if you look in the right places.

 

Question:   If in 1997 the number of tourists was 600,000 and in 1998 the number of tourists was one and a half times that amount and then in 1999 the number of tourists 1998 to 1999 fell 10% how many tourists came to Sandusky in those 3 years?
