In 1998, the students of our district moved into a brand new school
building built on property adjacent to our old school. Within days,
Ferris Industries, a commercial lawn mower manufacturer, moved into our
old school building and began a several million dollar renovation which
transformed science labs into offices, agriculture facilities into repair
shops, classrooms into a parts department and the gymnasium into a factory.
When we returned to Ferris Industries, things looked very different from
what we had remembered as our school. We were fascinated by the products
they produce and the processes they use to produce them. We hope
you enjoy our math trail and learn a little bit about our new neighbors. |
